Setup
1. Mounting the Unit
- Select a suitable location under a kitchen cabinet, ensuring adequate space for operation and ventilation.
- Use the provided mounting template to mark the screw positions on the underside of the cabinet.
- Drill pilot holes at the marked positions.
- Secure the mounting brackets (if separate) or the unit directly using the supplied mounting hardware. Ensure the unit is firmly attached.
2. Power Connection
Connect the AC/DC power adapter to the DC input jack on the unit and then plug the adapter into a standard wall outlet. The unit will power on and the clock display will activate.
3. Setting the Clock
Refer to the 'Operating Instructions' section for detailed steps on setting the current time on the digital display.
Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
Press the POWER button on the unit or remote control to turn the system on or off.
Adjusting Volume
Use the VOLUME + or VOLUME - buttons on the unit or remote control to increase or decrease the audio level.
Source Selection
Press the SOURCE button repeatedly to cycle through available modes: Bluetooth, CD, FM Radio, and Auxiliary Input.
Bluetooth Pairing
- Select Bluetooth mode using the SOURCE button. The Bluetooth indicator will flash.
- On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet), enable Bluetooth and search for new devices.
- Select "iLive BHBUSAZIN025745" (or similar name) from the list of found devices.
- Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator will stop flashing and remain solid. You can now stream audio wirelessly.
CD Playback
- Select CD mode using the SOURCE button.
- Gently insert a CD (CD-R, CD-RW, MP3 CD compatible) into the front-loading CD slot with the label side facing up. The CD will automatically load and begin playing.
- Use the PLAY/PAUSE, STOP, SKIP/SEARCH buttons on the unit or remote control to manage playback.
FM Radio Operation
- Select FM Radio mode using the SOURCE button.
- Press the TUNE + or TUNE - buttons to manually tune to a station.
- Press and hold TUNE + or TUNE - to automatically scan for the next available station.
- To save a preset station (up to 20), tune to the desired station, then press PROG/MEM. Use TUNE + or TUNE - to select a preset number, then press PROG/MEM again to confirm.
- To recall a preset, press the PRESET button and use TUNE + or TUNE - to select the desired preset.
Auxiliary Input
Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player) to the 3.5mm AUX IN jack on the unit using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included). Select Auxiliary Input mode using the SOURCE button. Audio from the connected device will play through the system speakers.
Cooking Timer
The unit includes a built-in cooking timer. Press the TIMER button to activate the timer function. Use the HOUR and MINUTE buttons to set the desired countdown time. Press TIMER again to start the countdown. An audible alert will sound when the timer reaches zero.
Remote Control
The included remote control provides convenient access to all major functions, including power, volume, source selection, CD playback controls, and radio tuning/presets. Ensure the remote has fresh batteries and is pointed towards the unit's front panel for optimal operation.
