Safety Instructions

  • Always operate the scale on a stable, level surface.
  • Avoid exposing the scale to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.
  • Do not overload the scale beyond its maximum capacity of 3 kg.
  • Keep the scale away from strong electromagnetic fields.
  • Disconnect the power supply before cleaning or maintenance.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the scale yourself. Contact qualified service personnel.

Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the scale from its packaging. Retain all packaging materials for future transport or storage.
  2. Placement: Place the scale on a firm, level, and vibration-free surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the scale for operation and ventilation.
  3. Power Connection:
    • AC Power: Connect the provided 230 V power supply to the scale's power input and then to a suitable wall outlet. The integrated battery will charge automatically.
    • Battery Operation: For mobile use, the scale can operate on its integrated battery for up to 70 hours. Ensure the battery is fully charged before extended use. Note: Some models may also support a 9V battery for backup or alternative power; refer to specific model documentation if applicable.
  4. Initial Calibration Check: While the scale is factory calibrated, it is good practice to perform a calibration check with known weights before first use, especially if precise measurements are critical. Refer to the "Calibration" section for detailed instructions (if applicable, otherwise omit or simplify).

Operating Instructions

Basic Weighing

  1. Power On: Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the scale. The display will show "0.000 g" after a brief self-test.
  2. Place Item: Carefully place the item to be weighed onto the center of the weighing platform.
  3. Read Measurement: The weight will be displayed on the LCD screen. Wait for the reading to stabilize before recording.
  4. Power Off: Press the ON/OFF button again to turn off the scale.

Tare Function

The tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container, so only the net weight of the contents is measured.

  1. Place Container: Place the empty container (e.g., bowl, tray) onto the weighing platform. The display will show its weight.
  2. Tare: Press the TARE button (often labeled "T" or "0/T"). The display will reset to "0.000 g".
  3. Add Contents: Add the items to be weighed into the container. The display will now show only the weight of the contents.
  4. Remove Tare: To clear the tare value, remove the container from the platform and press the TARE button again.

Other Functions (Count, Sum, Check, Hold)

  • Counting Function: For counting identical small parts. Place a known quantity of items (e.g., 10, 20, 50 pieces) on the platform, then activate the counting function and input the sample quantity. The scale will then display the total count of items placed on the platform.
  • Summing Function: Allows for the accumulation of multiple weighing results. Each weight is added to a running total.
  • Checking Function: Used for comparing a weighed item against a pre-set target weight range (e.g., for quality control).
  • Hold Function: Freezes the displayed weight, even if the item is removed from the platform. Useful for reading measurements when the display is not easily visible during weighing.

Refer to the specific button labels on your scale's control panel (e.g., COUNT, SUM, CHECK, HOLD) and the on-screen indicators for detailed operation of these advanced functions.

Maintenance and Care

  • Cleaning: Wipe the scale's surface with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or immerse the scale in water. Ensure no liquids enter the display or control panel.
  • Battery Care: If operating on battery, recharge the integrated battery regularly to maintain its lifespan. If the scale uses a 9V battery, replace it when the low battery indicator appears.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the scale in a dry, dust-free environment at room temperature.
  • Calibration: Regular calibration with certified weights is recommended to ensure continued accuracy, especially in professional or industrial settings. Consult a qualified technician for calibration services.
