2. Important Safety Information
To prevent personal injury or damage to the appliance, always observe basic safety precautions, including the following:
- Read all instructions before use.

4. Setup and First Use
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the toaster from its packaging. Retain packaging for storage or disposal.
- Placement: Place the toaster on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials. Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance.
- Initial Cleaning: Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Ensure the crumb tray is properly inserted.
- First Use (Burn-off): Before toasting food, operate the toaster empty for a few cycles at the highest browning setting (6) to burn off any manufacturing residues. A slight odor or smoke may be present; this is normal and will dissipate. Ensure the area is well-ventilated.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
5. Operation
5.1 Basic Toasting
- Insert up to two slices of bread or other items into the toasting slots. The self-centering racks will hold them upright.
- Select your desired browning level using the browning control knob (1 for light, 6 for dark).
- Press the lever down until it locks into place. The indicator light will illuminate, and the toasting cycle will begin.
- Once the cycle is complete, the toast will automatically pop up.
- To stop the toasting cycle at any time, press the STOP button.
5.2 Special Functions
- DEFROST Function: For frozen bread or pastries. Insert the frozen item, select the desired browning level, press the lever down, then press the DEFROST button. The defrost indicator light will illuminate.
- BAGEL Function: For toasting bagels or thick-cut bread on one side. Insert the bagel with the cut side facing inwards, select the desired browning level, press the lever down, then press the BAGEL button. The bagel indicator light will illuminate.
- REHEAT Function: To warm up previously toasted items. Insert the item, press the lever down, then press the REHEAT button. The reheat indicator light will illuminate. This function uses a shorter cycle to warm without further browning.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your toaster.
6.1 Crumb Tray Cleaning
- Ensure the toaster is unplugged and completely cool.
- Pull out the removable crumb tray located at the bottom of the toaster.
- Discard accumulated crumbs.
- Wipe the tray with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly before reinserting.
- Push the crumb tray back into place until it clicks securely.

6.2 Exterior Cleaning
- Always unplug the toaster and allow it to cool before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may damage the finish.
- Do not immerse the toaster in water or any other liquid.
- Ensure the toaster is completely dry before plugging it back in.
