Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Etekcity Wireless Doorbell. Please read this manual thoroughly before use to ensure proper function and longevity of the product. This wireless doorbell system includes a push button transmitter and two receivers: one AC-powered plug-in receiver and one battery-powered portable receiver. It features a wide operating range and multiple chime options.

Setup

1. Installing the Push Button Transmitter

1. Open the Transmitter: Carefully open the push button transmitter casing.
2. Install Battery: Insert the included 12V 23A alkaline battery into the transmitter, ensuring correct polarity.
3. Mounting Options:
   • Using Screws: Mark the desired mounting location. Drill pilot holes and insert wall anchors if necessary. Secure the transmitter back plate with the provided screws.
   • Using Adhesive Tape: Clean the mounting surface thoroughly. Peel off the protective film from one side of the double-sided adhesive tape and apply it to the back of the transmitter. Peel off the other side and firmly press the transmitter onto the desired surface for at least 30 seconds.
4. Close the Transmitter: Reattach the front cover of the push button transmitter.

2. Setting Up the Receivers

• AC-Powered Plug-in Receiver: Simply plug the receiver into any standard wall outlet.
• Battery-Powered Portable Receiver: Open the battery compartment and insert 3 x AAA batteries (not included), observing correct polarity. Close the compartment.

3. Pairing (If Needed)

The doorbell system is typically pre-paired at the factory. If the transmitter and receiver(s) do not communicate, follow these steps to pair them:

1. Plug in the AC receiver or ensure the battery receiver has power.
2. Press and hold the volume button on the receiver for approximately 5 seconds until you hear a "ding" and the LED indicator flashes. This indicates pairing mode.
3. Within 5 seconds, press the push button transmitter. The receiver will chime, confirming successful pairing.
4. Repeat for any additional receivers.

Operating Instructions

1. Changing Chimes

The doorbell offers 52 different chime tunes. To change the chime:

• Press the "Music Switch" button on the side of the receiver to cycle through the available tunes.
• Stop pressing when you hear your desired chime. The receiver will remember this selection.

2. Adjusting Volume

The receiver has 4 adjustable volume levels. To adjust the volume:

• Press the "Volume Adjustment" button on the side of the receiver to cycle through the volume levels.
• Stop pressing when you reach your preferred volume.

3. LED Indicator

When the push button is pressed, the receiver will chime and its blue LED indicator will flash. This visual alert is beneficial for the hearing impaired or in noisy environments.

4. Wireless Range

The Etekcity Wireless Doorbell system offers a wireless range of up to 1000 feet (300 meters) in open areas. Actual range may vary depending on environmental factors such as walls, metal structures, and other wireless interference.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the doorbell units with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Battery Replacement (Transmitter): When the push button's LED indicator no longer lights up or the range decreases significantly, it's time to replace the 12V 23A battery.
• Battery Replacement (Portable Receiver): If the portable receiver stops working or its volume decreases, replace the 3 x AAA batteries.
• Placement: Ensure the push button is installed in a location protected from direct heavy rain or prolonged exposure to extreme weather conditions to maximize its lifespan.
