5. Setup

5.1 Unpacking and Charging Dock Placement

  1. Carefully remove the DEEBOT D35 and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Place the charging dock against a wall in an open, uncluttered area. Ensure there is at least 0.5 meters (1.6 feet) of clear space on either side and 1.5 meters (4.9 feet) in front of the dock.
  3. Connect the power adapter to the charging dock and plug the other end into a wall outlet. Ensure the indicator light on the charging dock illuminates.

5.2 Installing Side Brushes

  1. Turn the DEEBOT D35 upside down.
  2. Match the color of the side brushes to the corresponding slots on the bottom of the robot (e.g., red brush to red slot).
  3. Press each brush down until it clicks into place.

5.3 Initial Charge

  1. Place the DEEBOT D35 onto the charging dock, ensuring the charging contacts on the robot align with those on the dock.
  2. Allow the robot to charge completely before its first use. This typically takes 3-4 hours. The indicator light on the robot will change to solid green when fully charged.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Preparing the Cleaning Area

  • Remove any large obstacles, loose cables, or small items from the floor that could entangle the robot.
  • Ensure doors to areas you want cleaned are open, and doors to areas you want to avoid are closed.

6.2 Starting a Cleaning Cycle

  1. Press the main power/start button on the top of the DEEBOT D35. The robot will begin cleaning in Auto mode.
  2. To pause cleaning, press the button again. To resume, press it once more.
  3. To send the robot back to its charging dock, press and hold the main button for 3 seconds.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning the Dustbin and Filter

  1. Open the top cover of the DEEBOT D35.
  2. Remove the dustbin by pulling it upwards.
  3. Empty the dustbin contents into a trash receptacle.
  4. Remove the high-efficiency filter from the dustbin. Tap it gently to remove dust. Do not wash the filter with water.
  5. Rinse the dustbin with water if necessary, ensuring it is completely dry before reinserting.
  6. Reinstall the filter and dustbin, then close the top cover.

7.2 Cleaning the Side Brushes

  1. Turn the DEEBOT D35 upside down.
  2. Gently pull the side brushes upwards to remove them.
  3. Remove any hair or debris tangled around the brushes. You may use a small brush or a pair of scissors.
  4. Reattach the side brushes, ensuring they click into place.

7.3 Cleaning the Sensors and Charging Contacts

  • Wipe the anti-drop sensors (located on the bottom of the robot) and the charging contacts (on both the robot and the charging dock) with a clean, dry cloth.
  • Ensure these components are free of dust and debris for proper operation.
