Setup
- Attaching Sandpaper:
- Ensure the sander is unplugged.
- Align the holes on the 5-inch hook & loop sanding disc with the holes on the sander's pad.
- Press the sanding disc firmly onto the pad to secure it.

- Attaching Dust Bag:
- Slide the dust bag onto the dust port until it locks securely in place.
- Alternatively, connect a compatible dust collector (DWV010, DWV012, or other 1-1/4 in. vacuum systems with DWV9000 Universal Quick Connector) to the dust port.

- Power Connection:
- Plug the sander into a standard 120V AC power outlet.
Operation
- Starting the Sander:
- Hold the sander firmly with both hands.
- Place the sanding pad flat on the workpiece.
- Slide the dust-sealed switch to the ON position.
- Sanding Technique:
- Apply light, even pressure. Allow the sander's weight and orbital action to do the work.
- Move the sander in smooth, overlapping passes across the surface. Avoid pressing too hard or holding the sander in one spot, as this can create swirl marks or gouges.
- For best results, sand with the grain of the wood.

- Stopping the Sander:
- Lift the sander from the workpiece.
- Slide the dust-sealed switch to the OFF position.
- Unplug the tool when finished or before making adjustments.

Maintenance
- Cleaning the Dust Bag: Empty the dust bag frequently to maintain optimal dust collection efficiency. To empty, twist and pull the dust bag from the port, then shake out the contents.
- Cleaning the Sander: Periodically clean the tool's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Ensure ventilation openings are clear of dust and debris.
- Sanding Pad Inspection: Regularly inspect the sanding pad for wear or damage. Replace worn pads to ensure effective sanding and prevent damage to the workpiece.
- Cord Inspection: Check the power cord for any cuts, fraying, or damage. Replace damaged cords immediately to prevent electrical hazards.
