  1. Before Washing: Always disconnect the controller(s) from the blanket and unplug the power cord(s) from the wall outlet.
  2. Pre-Soak (Optional): For best results, pre-soak the blanket for 15 minutes in mild soap and cold water.
  3. Machine Wash: Wash on the 'delicate' or 'gentle' cycle in a washing machine with cold water and a small amount of mild, non-bleach detergent. Do not use bleach.
  4. Rinse: Rinse on the 'normal' cycle.
  5. Machine Dry: Tumble dry on low heat for 5-10 minutes to remove excess moisture. Do not use high heat.
  6. Air Dry: Remove the blanket from the dryer while still damp and drape it over a clothesline or shower rod to air dry completely. Ensure the blanket is fully dry before reconnecting the controller(s) or storing.
  7. Storage: Store the blanket loosely folded in a cool, dry place. Avoid tightly folding or placing heavy objects on the blanket, which can damage the internal wiring.

This blanket is OEKO-TEX certified, meaning it has been tested for harmful substances and is safe for human ecological requirements.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your heated blanket, refer to the following common solutions:

  • Blinking Light on Controller: If the controller light is blinking, unplug the blanket from the wall outlet and disconnect the controller from the blanket. Reconnect both securely and plug the blanket back into the outlet. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
  • Blanket Not Heating Well: Ensure the blanket is powered on and set to a sufficiently high heat level. Allow adequate time for the blanket to reach the desired temperature, as heating can be gradual.
  • Only Parts of the Blanket are Warming: This often indicates a bunched or pinched heating element. Lay the blanket completely flat, ensuring it is untucked and free from any heavy objects. Gently run your fingers along the blanket to straighten any twisted or bunched heating wires. Pay close attention to the top and bottom edges where wires may bend. If any portion of the wire is twisted on itself, manually untwist it.
