Setup
1. Unpacking and Components
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure you have the following:
- TRIXIE TX6-6x240 ML Automatic Pet Feeder Unit
- Removable food tray with 6 compartments
- Lid with control panel cover
- Instruction Manual (this document)
2. Battery Installation
The feeder requires batteries for operation. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the unit. Insert the required number of D-cell batteries (not included) according to the polarity indicators (+/-). Close the battery compartment securely. Note: Please refer to the product packaging or specific product details for the exact battery type and quantity required.
3. Filling the Feeder
Lift the main lid to access the removable food tray. The tray contains six individual compartments, each with a capacity of 240 ml. Fill each compartment with dry pet food. Ensure not to overfill, as this may impede the rotation mechanism. Once filled, place the lid back securely, ensuring it clicks into place.

3. Programming Meal Times
The feeder allows you to program up to three meal times per day. For each meal, you can specify which compartment(s) will be made available. The feeder has 6 compartments, each 240 ml. When a meal time is reached, the tray rotates to expose the next programmed compartment.
- Press the SET button briefly to enter meal programming mode. The display will show "MEAL 1" or similar.
- Use the ▲ and ▼ buttons to set the desired hour for Meal 1.
- Press SET to move to the minute setting for Meal 1.
- Use the ▲ and ▼ buttons to set the desired minutes.
- Press SET to confirm Meal 1 time.
- The display will then show "MEAL 2". Repeat steps 2-5 to set Meal 2 and Meal 3 times if desired.
- After setting all desired meals, press SET to exit programming mode.
Note: The feeder will automatically rotate to the next available compartment at the programmed meal time. If you wish to provide a larger portion for a single meal, you can fill multiple consecutive compartments and program the feeder to rotate through them for that specific meal event. For example, if you program Meal 1 to dispense from compartment 1, and then program Meal 2 to dispense from compartment 2 shortly after, this can effectively provide a larger portion for a single feeding session.
4. Manual Feeding
To manually dispense a meal, press the ⟳ (Refresh/Cycle) button. The tray will rotate to the next available compartment. Use this feature sparingly as it will affect your programmed schedule.
5. Control Panel Cover
The robust cover over the control panel is designed to prevent your pet from accidentally changing the settings. Ensure this cover is properly closed after any adjustments to maintain the programmed schedule.
