4.1 Battery Installation

The main unit requires 3 AAA batteries, and the remote sensor requires 2 AAA batteries (not included).

  1. For the Remote Sensor: Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote sensor. Insert 2 AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-). Close the cover securely.
  2. For the Main Unit: Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the main unit. Insert 3 AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-). Close the cover securely.

4.2 Initial Power-On and Atomic Time Synchronization

Upon battery installation, the main unit will power on and begin searching for the atomic time signal (WWVB). This process can take several minutes to several hours depending on your location and environmental conditions.

  1. Place the main unit near a window for better signal reception.
  2. The atomic clock icon will flash during synchronization. Once synchronized, the icon will become solid, and the correct time and date will be displayed.

4.3 Remote Sensor Pairing

The main unit will automatically attempt to connect with the remote sensor after power-on. Ensure the remote sensor is placed within range (typically up to 100 feet/30 meters in open air) and away from large metal objects or electronic interference.

  1. Ensure batteries are correctly installed in both the main unit and the remote sensor.
  2. The outdoor temperature and humidity readings should appear on the main unit's display within a few minutes.
  3. If readings do not appear, press the 'CHANNEL' button on the main unit or the 'RESET' button on the remote sensor to re-initiate the pairing process.
