Setup Instructions
- Attach Your Device:
- For digital cameras or camcorders: Securely screw your camera onto the mounting plate at the top of the stabilizer. Ensure it is tightened to prevent movement.
- For smartphones: Attach the smartphone adapter to the mounting plate, then insert your smartphone into the adapter.
- For GoPro cameras: Attach the GoPro adapter to the mounting plate, then secure your GoPro camera to the adapter.
- Balancing the Stabilizer:
- The key to smooth footage is proper balancing. Hold the stabilizer by the foam grip.
- Adjust the position of your device on the mounting plate (slide it forward or backward) until the stabilizer remains level when held freely.
- Utilize the built-in bubble level for precise balancing. The bubble should be centered when the stabilizer is perfectly balanced.
- If your device is too light or too heavy, you may need to adjust or add counterweights (if your model includes adjustable weights at the base) to achieve optimal balance.
Operating the Stabilizer
Once your device is securely attached and the stabilizer is balanced, you are ready to begin recording.
- Grip: Hold the comfortable foam-covered hand grip firmly but gently. The freely rotating handle allows the stabilizer to move independently of your hand's rotation, ensuring smooth horizontal movement.
- Movement: Walk smoothly and avoid sudden jerks. The stabilizer will absorb minor shakes and movements, keeping your footage steady. Practice walking with a slight bend in your knees to further reduce vertical motion.
- Framing: Use your device's screen to monitor your shot. The stabilizer allows for fluid panning and tilting movements by gently guiding the unit.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the stabilizer with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and fingerprints. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Storage: Store the stabilizer in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Inspection: Periodically check all screws and connections to ensure they are tight. Do not overtighten.
Troubleshooting
- Unstable or Shaky Footage:
- Ensure the stabilizer is properly balanced. Re-check the bubble level and adjust your device's position.
- Verify that your camera or smartphone is securely mounted and not loose.
- Practice smoother walking and operating techniques.
- Device Does Not Fit:
- Confirm you are using the correct adapter (smartphone or GoPro) for your device.
- Check the maximum supported weight and dimensions for the stabilizer.
