1. Introduction

In this fast-paced version of the Monopoly game, players race around the board visiting cities and collecting passport stamps. The first player to fill their passport wins! The gameboard features favorite cities like Seattle, New York, and Denver. Every time someone adds another stamp to their passport, they get closer to winning!

The Hasbro Gaming and Monopoly names and logos, the distinctive design of the gameboard, the four corner squares, the Mr. Monopoly name and character, as well as each of the distinctive elements of the board and playing pieces are trademarks of Hasbro for its property trading game and game equipment.

2. What's Included

Your Monopoly Here & Now Game: US Edition includes the following components:

3. Setup

  1. Place the gameboard on a flat surface.
  2. Each player chooses one of the 4 tokens (Statue of Liberty, baseball glove, trolley, or cowboy hat) and places it on the GO space.
  3. Each player takes one passport.
  4. Separate the 22 Location Discs and 20 First Class Discs. Keep them organized near the board.
  5. Shuffle the Chance cards and place them face down on their designated space on the board.
  6. Shuffle the Here and Now cards and place them face down on their designated space on the board.
  7. Designate one player as the Banker. The Banker is responsible for the money pack and the Banker's tray.
  8. The Banker distributes the starting money to each player as specified in the game guide (refer to the included Game Guide for exact starting amounts).
  9. Place the 2 dice near the gameboard.

4. Operating (How to Play)

The objective of Monopoly Here & Now is to be the first player to fill your passport with stamps by visiting cities around the board.

Game Flow:

  1. Players roll the dice to determine who goes first. The player with the highest roll starts.
  2. On your turn, roll both dice and move your token clockwise around the board the number of spaces indicated.
  3. Follow the instructions on the space you land on. This may include:
    • Visiting a City: When you land on an unowned city space, you may purchase it. If you purchase a city, you immediately add a Location Disc (stamp) to your passport. If you land on a city owned by another player, you must pay them rent.
    • Chance or Here and Now: Draw a card from the respective pile and follow its instructions.
    • Go To Jail: Move your token directly to Jail.
    • Free Parking: No action required.
    • Go: Collect money as you pass or land on GO.
  4. Collecting Passport Stamps: The core of the game is collecting passport stamps. Each city you purchase allows you to add a Location Disc to your passport. Certain actions or cards may also allow you to earn First Class Discs.
  5. Winning the Game: The first player to successfully fill their passport with the required number of stamps (as indicated in the Game Guide) wins the game!
