2. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to properly set up your MingDak LED Aquarium Light Kit:

  1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove the LED light bar, power adapter, and any other accessories from the packaging. Inspect all components for any signs of damage.
  2. Choose Placement: Determine the desired location for the light within your aquarium. The light is fully submersible, allowing for placement inside the tank, or it can be mounted externally if preferred.
  3. Attach Suction Cups: Ensure the suction cups are securely attached to the light bar's mounting clips.
  4. Mount the Light:
    • Submersible Installation: Press the suction cups firmly against a clean, smooth surface inside the aquarium (e.g., glass wall, under the lid). Ensure the light is fully submerged if desired.
    • External Installation: If mounting outside the tank, use the adjustable mounting legs to fit the light across the top edges of aquariums ranging from 9 to 15 inches in width.
  5. Connect Power: Connect the light bar's cable to the power adapter. Ensure the connection is secure.
  6. Plug In: Plug the power adapter into a suitable electrical outlet. Ensure a drip loop is formed with the power cord to prevent water from running down the cord to the outlet.
