Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials from the brewer. Place the brewer on a stable, level surface.
- Initial Rinse: Before first use, perform a cleansing brew without a K-Cup pod. Fill the water reservoir with fresh water, place a mug on the drip tray, and press the brew button. Discard the hot water.
- Power Connection: Plug the brewer into a grounded outlet.
Operating Instructions
- Add Water: Lift the lid of the water reservoir. Pour the desired amount of fresh water (6, 8, or 10 ounces) into the reservoir. Do not exceed the maximum fill line.
- Insert K-Cup Pod: Lift the handle to open the K-Cup pod holder. Place a K-Cup pod into the holder, ensuring it is seated correctly. Close the handle firmly.
- Place Mug: Position a mug on the drip tray. The brewer has a cup sensor that prevents brewing if no mug is detected.
- Select Brew Size: The brewer will automatically detect the water level and offer the corresponding brew sizes. Select your desired brew size (6, 8, or 10 ounces) using the buttons.
- Start Brewing: Press the brew button. The brewer will heat the water and dispense your beverage. Brewing typically takes less than two minutes.
- Auto-Off: The brewer will automatically turn off after each brew cycle to conserve energy.
Maintenance
- Exterior Cleaning: Regularly wipe the exterior of the brewer with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the brewer in water.
- Drip Tray Cleaning: The drip tray can be removed and washed with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry before reattaching.
- K-Cup Pod Holder Cleaning: The K-Cup pod holder can be removed for cleaning. Wash with warm, soapy water and rinse. Ensure the exit needle is clear of any debris.
- Descaling: Over time, calcium deposits (scale) can build up in the brewer. Descale your brewer every 3 to 6 months, or more frequently if you have hard water. Refer to the full Keurig descaling instructions for your specific model.
