3. Setup
3.1 Battery Installation
- Ensure the printer is powered off.
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the printer.
- Slide the cover in the direction indicated by the arrow to open it.
- Insert six (6) AA-size alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as shown inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover until it clicks securely into place.

3.2 Label Tape Cassette Installation
- Ensure the printer is powered off.
- Open the tape compartment cover. This is typically located on the top or side of the printer, often released by a blue lever or button.
- Insert the label tape cassette firmly into the compartment with the tape facing the print head. Ensure it clicks into place.
- Close the tape compartment cover.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off
- To power on: Press the Power button.
- To power off: Press and hold the Power button until the display turns off.
4.2 Basic Label Creation
- Enter Text: Use the ABCD keyboard to type your desired text. The display will show the characters as you type.
- Navigate: Use the arrow keys (up, down, left, right) around the OK button to move the cursor.
- Delete Text: Press the DEL button to delete characters.
- Space: Press the Space button to insert a space.

4.3 Formatting Options

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning the Printer
- Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the printer.
- To clean the print head, open the tape compartment and gently wipe the print head with a cotton swab moistened with isopropyl alcohol. Allow it to dry completely before closing the compartment.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
5.2 Replacing Label Tape Cassettes
When the label tape runs out or you wish to change tape types/colors:
- Ensure the printer is powered off.
- Open the tape compartment cover.
- Remove the empty or unwanted tape cassette by gently pulling it out.
- Insert a new Casio label tape cassette, ensuring it is seated correctly.
- Close the tape compartment cover.
6. Troubleshooting
