Product Overview
The Timex T301B is an advanced digital tuning clock radio designed for convenience and reliability. Setup
Power Connection
Connect the clock radio to a standard AC power outlet. For battery backup, insert 2 AA batteries into the battery compartment located on the bottom of the unit. This will preserve time and alarm settings during a power outage.
Initial Auto-Set
Upon initial power-up, the T301B will automatically set the correct year, date, and time. Ensure the unit is placed in an area with good reception for accurate time synchronization.
Setting Time Zone
To adjust the time zone, locate the ZONE (1-7) button. Press this button repeatedly to cycle through the available time zones until your local time zone is displayed. The clock will adjust accordingly.
Daylight Saving Time (DST)
The unit is designed to automatically adjust for Daylight Saving Time. However, due to changes in DST rules over time, manual adjustment may be required. If the time is incorrect after a DST change, refer to the "Manual Time Adjustment" section.
Operating Instructions
Setting Alarms
- Press the ALARM SET button. The alarm time will flash on the display.
- Use the TUN/CLOCK ▲/▼ buttons to adjust the alarm hour. Press ALARM SET again to confirm the hour.
- Use the TUN/CLOCK ▲/▼ buttons to adjust the alarm minute. Press ALARM SET again to confirm the minute.
- Select the alarm source (Radio or Buzzer) by pressing the corresponding RADIO or BUZZER button. The selected icon will appear on the display.
- To set a second alarm, repeat the process using the other alarm setting.
Radio Operation
- Press the RADIO button to turn on the radio.
- Press the AM/FM button to switch between AM and FM bands.
- Use the TUN/CLOCK ▲/▼ buttons to manually tune to a desired frequency. Press and hold for auto-scan.
- To save a radio station preset: Tune to the desired station, then press the MEM. SET button. Use the PRESET ▲/▼ buttons to select a preset number, then press MEM. SET again to confirm.
- To recall a preset station: Press the PRESET ▲/▼ buttons to cycle through saved stations.
- Adjust radio volume using the SLEEP VOL buttons.
USB Charging
The integrated USB port allows you to charge compatible devices. Connect your device's USB charging cable to the USB port on the back or side of the clock radio. Charging speed may vary depending on the device.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: Replace the 2 AA backup batteries annually or when the display shows signs of dimming during a power outage. Ensure correct polarity when inserting new batteries.
- Placement: Place the unit on a stable, flat surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive moisture.
Troubleshooting
