1. Introduction
The IsoAcoustics Aperta Series Isolation Speaker Stands are designed to enhance the performance of your speakers by providing superior acoustic isolation and precise tilt adjustment. These stands are crafted from sculpted aluminum, measuring 6.1 inches (155mm) wide, 7.5 inches (190mm) deep, and 3 inches (76mm) high, with a weight capacity of 35 lbs (15.9 kg) per stand. This package includes two stands in a silver finish.
The patented IsoAcoustics isolation technology, tested at the National Research Council of Canada (NRC), effectively manages the energy of the speaker. This reduces vibrations resonating through the supporting surface, eliminating dissonant sounds in the listening area. Additionally, the isolators reduce internal reflections, leading to greater sound clarity, openness, and an improved stereo image.
The stands offer up to 6.5 degrees of tilt adjustment, allowing you to optimize speaker placement and focus the tweeters to ear level for an ideal listening experience.

2. Setup
Follow these steps to properly set up your IsoAcoustics Aperta Series Isolation Speaker Stands:
- Unpack the Stands: Carefully remove the two Aperta stands from their packaging. Inspect them for any signs of damage.
- Placement: Place each stand on a stable, level surface where your speakers will be positioned. Ensure the IsoAcoustics logo on the front of each stand faces forward.
- Positioning Speakers: Gently lift one speaker and center it on top of an Aperta stand. Repeat for the second speaker. Ensure the speaker's weight is evenly distributed across the stand's top surface.

- Adjusting Tilt: The Aperta stands feature a tilt adjustment mechanism. Each stand has four internal posts; two are fixed, and two are adjustable. To adjust the tilt, carefully rotate the adjustable posts to achieve the desired upward or downward angle, up to 6.5 degrees. This allows you to direct the speaker's tweeters precisely towards your listening position.

3. Operating Principles
The IsoAcoustics Aperta stands operate on the principle of acoustic isolation. By decoupling your speakers from the supporting surface, the stands prevent the transfer of vibrational energy that can color the sound. This results in:
- Improved Clarity: Reduced resonance from the supporting surface allows the speaker to reproduce sound more accurately.
- Enhanced Stereo Imaging: By minimizing internal reflections and vibrations, the soundstage becomes more focused and precise.
- Tighter Bass: The controlled movement of the speaker drivers leads to a more defined and less boomy bass response.
The tilt adjustment further refines the listening experience by ensuring the high-frequency drivers (tweeters) are aimed directly at your ears, optimizing the direct sound path and minimizing reflections from ceilings or floors.
4. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Aperta stands, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Wipe the aluminum surfaces with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish.
- Inspection: Periodically check the stands for any signs of wear or damage, particularly the rubber isolator components. Ensure all parts are securely in place.
- Stability: Confirm that the stands remain stable and level on your chosen surface. Re-adjust if necessary.
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your Aperta stands, consider the following:
- Speaker Wobble: If a speaker feels unstable on the stand, ensure the stand is placed on a perfectly flat and level surface. Verify that the speaker is centered on the stand and its weight is evenly distributed. Check that the adjustable posts are tightened appropriately after tilt adjustment.
- Suboptimal Sound Quality: If the sound quality does not meet expectations, re-evaluate the tilt angle. Small adjustments can significantly impact the soundstage and clarity. Ensure the stands are not touching any other surfaces that could transfer vibrations.
- Uneven Height: If the stands appear to be at different heights, check the adjustable posts on each stand. Ensure they are set symmetrically or adjusted intentionally for tilt.
