Setup
Unpacking and Initial Inspection
Carefully unpack all items and inspect for any damage. The package should contain:

Battery Installation and Charging
- Insert the lithium-ion battery into the radio unit, ensuring it clicks securely into place.
- Place the radio unit into the single-unit charger.
- Connect the charger to a power outlet. The charging indicator light will illuminate.
- Allow the battery to fully charge before first use.

Attaching the Belt Holster
- Align the swivel belt holster with the back of the radio unit.
- Slide the radio into the holster until it locks securely.
- The holster allows for easy attachment to a belt or strap.
Operating Instructions
Power On/Off and Volume Control
To power on the radio, rotate the On/Off/Volume knob clockwise. To power off, rotate counter-clockwise until it clicks.
Adjust the volume by rotating the On/Off/Volume knob.
Channel Selection
The RMU2080D features 8 channels. Rotate the Channel Selector knob to choose the desired channel (1-8).
Transmitting and Receiving
To transmit, press and hold the Push-To-Talk (PTT) button located on the side of the radio. Speak clearly into the microphone.
To receive, release the PTT button. The radio will automatically receive transmissions on the selected channel.

Voice Announcement Feature
The radio provides voice announcements for battery level and current channel when powered on or when the channel is changed.
Channel Alias Feature
