For enhanced security, it is recommended to securely mount the safe. This model is designed for wall mounting.

  1. Choose a suitable location for mounting, ensuring it is a solid surface capable of supporting the safe's weight.
  2. Using the pre-drilled holes on the back of the safe as a template, mark the drilling points on the wall.
  3. Drill pilot holes into the wall at the marked locations.
  4. Align the safe with the drilled holes and secure it using the provided mounting bolts. Tighten all bolts firmly.

Operating Your Safe

1. Initial Opening

Upon first use, the safe can be opened using the emergency override keys. Insert the key into the keyhole (often concealed behind a cover on the keypad), turn it, and simultaneously turn the handle to open the door.

2. Setting Your User Code

It is crucial to set your personal user code immediately after initial opening.

  1. With the safe door open, locate the red or green reset button on the inside of the door (usually near the hinge).
  2. Press the reset button. The safe will beep, and an indicator light on the keypad will illuminate.
  3. Within 5 seconds, enter your desired 3-8 digit code on the keypad.

  4. Within 5 seconds, turn the handle clockwise (or as indicated) to open the safe door.

4. Auto Secure Mode

For enhanced security, if three incorrect codes are entered consecutively, the safe will enter an 'Auto Secure Mode'. During this period, the keypad will be inactive for 3 minutes, preventing further attempts. Wait for the lockout period to expire before attempting to enter the code again.

5. Low Battery Indicator

The safe is equipped with an audio-visual alarm to indicate low battery power. When the batteries are low, the safe will emit a series of beeps and/or a specific light pattern during operation. Replace the batteries promptly to ensure continuous functionality and avoid being locked out.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

When the low battery indicator activates, replace all four AA/1.5 volt batteries with new ones. Follow the battery installation steps outlined in the 'Setup Guide'. Do not mix old and new batteries or different battery types.
