3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking

Place the refrigerator on a level, sturdy floor. Ensure there is at least 1 inch (2.5 cm) of space at the back and sides, and 2 inches (5 cm) at the top for proper air circulation. Avoid direct sunlight or proximity to heat sources like ovens or radiators.

3.3 Leveling

The refrigerator must be level for optimal performance and door alignment. Adjust the leveling feet located at the bottom front corners of the appliance. Turn clockwise to raise and counter-clockwise to lower. Use a level to ensure the refrigerator is stable and level from front to back and side to side.

3.4 Electrical Connection

Plug the refrigerator into a dedicated 120 Volt, 60 Hz, AC-only electrical outlet. Do not use an extension cord or a multi-outlet adapter. Ensure the outlet is properly grounded.

3.5 Initial Operation

After plugging in, allow the refrigerator to cool for at least 4-6 hours before loading food. This allows the internal temperature to stabilize.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Temperature Control

The temperature control dial is typically located inside the fresh food compartment. Turn the dial to adjust the cooling intensity. A higher number or colder setting provides more cooling. Start with a medium setting and adjust as needed based on food load and ambient temperature.

4.2 Air Flow Control

Your refrigerator features an Air Flow Control mechanism, usually a slider or vent, that allows you to adjust the amount of cold air flowing from the freezer to the fresh food compartment. Adjust this control to balance the temperature between the two sections. Moving the control towards 'Freezer' will direct more cold air to the freezer, while moving it towards 'Fridge' will increase cooling in the fresh food section.

4.3 Food Storage Guidelines

• Fresh Food Compartment: Store fruits and vegetables in the crisper drawer. Dairy products, meats, and leftovers should be covered and placed on shelves.
• Freezer Compartment: Ensure all items are properly sealed to prevent freezer burn. Do not overload the freezer, as this can restrict air circulation.
• Door Bins: Ideal for beverages, condiments, and smaller items.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

5.1 Exterior Cleaning

Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water. For stainless steel surfaces, use a specialized stainless steel cleaner and polish in the direction of the grain. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.

5.2 Interior Cleaning

Unplug the refrigerator before cleaning. Remove all food items, shelves, and drawers. Wash removable parts with mild soap and warm water. Wipe the interior surfaces with a solution of baking soda and water (1 tablespoon baking soda to 1 quart water) to neutralize odors. Rinse and dry thoroughly before replacing components and food.

5.3 Defrosting

This refrigerator features an electric defrost system, which automatically manages ice buildup in the freezer. However, if excessive ice accumulates, it may be necessary to manually defrost. To do so, unplug the refrigerator, remove all food, and leave the freezer door open. Place towels on the floor to absorb melting ice. Do not use sharp objects or heating devices to speed up defrosting.
