Setup Instructions
1. Battery Installation
Locate the battery compartment on the back of the clock movement. Insert one 1.5V AA battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
Note: Do not use 1.2V rechargeable batteries as they may not provide sufficient power for reliable operation.
2. Attaching the Clock Hands
Choose one of the two provided sets of clock hands. Carefully press the hour hand onto the hour shaft, then the minute hand onto the minute shaft. Finally, press the second hand (if applicable) onto the second shaft. Ensure all hands are parallel to each other and do not touch the clock face or other hands when rotating.

Operating Instructions
1. Initial Signal Reception
After battery installation, the movement will automatically attempt to receive the DCF 77 radio signal. This process may take several minutes. Place the clock in an area with good signal reception, away from electronic devices that may cause interference. The hands will automatically move to the correct time once the signal is successfully received.
2. Manual Time Setting
In case of poor signal reception or for initial setup, you can manually set the time. Locate the manual setting button (often labeled "SET" or "M.SET") on the back of the movement. Press and hold the button to advance the hands. Release the button when the desired time is reached. The movement will attempt to synchronize with the radio signal again after manual adjustment.
Maintenance
Battery Replacement
When the clock hands stop moving or the time becomes inaccurate, replace the AA battery. Remove the old battery and insert a new 1.5V AA battery, observing polarity. The clock will re-synchronize with the DCF 77 signal after battery replacement.
Cleaning
Clean the clock movement and hands with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as these can damage the components.
Troubleshooting
Clock not moving or displaying incorrect time:
- Check battery: Ensure a fresh 1.5V AA battery is installed with correct polarity.
- Signal reception: Move the clock to a different location, away from potential interference sources (e.g., TVs, computers, large metal objects).
- Manual reset: Use the manual setting button to advance the hands and allow the movement to attempt re-synchronization.
- Hand obstruction: Ensure the clock hands are not touching each other or the clock face.
Hands are loose:
- Carefully re-press the hands onto their respective shafts, ensuring they are secure but not overly tight.
