1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the Coleman Event Shelter L Pro. This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective setup, operation, and maintenance of your shelter. Please read these instructions carefully before assembly and retain them for future reference.
The Coleman Event Shelter L Pro is a 3.6 x 3.6 meter gazebo designed for sun protection in warm weather, featuring integrated UV protection. This large shelter provides 360° ventilation. Equipped with Coleman UVGuard, it effectively protects against UV rays, making it suitable for gardens, sandpits, or paddling pools.
2. Safety Warnings
- Exercise caution when setting up the product near power lines or during adverse weather conditions to prevent risks of electrocution or structural collapse.
- Take precautions against UV rays; while the product offers UV protection, it is not specified if it protects against UV-A and UV-B.
- The product is not lightweight and requires a sufficient number of people for safe installation and dismantling.
- Keep the product away from flames or hot surfaces due to its polyester and steel components.
- It is recommended to dismantle the garden gazebo in case of heavy rain, strong winds, or storms.
3. Package Contents
Ensure all components are present before beginning assembly:
- Shelter Canopy (100% polyester, 150D 120T)
- Steel Poles (19 mm diameter)

Note: Side walls, mosquito net, and ground sheet are available separately as accessories.
4. Setup Instructions
The stable steel structure with PVC connectors is designed for quick and easy assembly. While assembly can be performed by one person by not inserting the lower part of the frame initially, it is recommended to have assistance for safer and easier setup.
- Unpack Components: Lay out all poles, connectors, and the canopy in an open area.

5. Operating the Event Shelter
The Event Shelter is designed for occasional use, such as short camping trips or sports events, and should not be used as a permanent solution.
Sun Protection
The shelter is equipped with Coleman UVGuard with SPF 50+, offering high UV sun protection against harmful rays. It is ideal for creating a shaded area in your garden, over a sandpit, or a paddling pool.
Ventilation
The design allows for 360° ventilation, ensuring hot air can escape through ventilation slots on top, maintaining a comfortable environment underneath.
Water Resistance
The canopy is waterproof up to a 600 mm water column, providing protection against light rain. However, it is not intended as primary rain protection and does not have sealed seams. In case of heavy rain, strong winds, or storms, it is recommended to dismantle the shelter.

6. Maintenance
Cleaning
Clean the canopy with mild soap and water. Do not use harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the fabric's UV protection and water-resistant coating. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before storage.
Pole Care
Inspect steel poles for any signs of rust or damage. Clean any dirt or debris from the poles and connectors. If any poles are bent or broken, replace them before next use.
7. Storage
Ensure the shelter is completely dry before packing it into the carry bag. Storing a damp shelter can lead to mildew and fabric degradation. Fold the canopy neatly and store poles and connectors in the carry bag. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
8. Troubleshooting
Shelter Instability
- Ensure all poles are fully connected and secured.
- Verify that pegs are firmly anchored into the ground.
- Adjust guy ropes to be taut and evenly distributed for maximum stability.
- Check weather conditions; dismantle if winds are too strong.
Water Leakage
- The shelter is water-resistant, not fully waterproof, and does not have sealed seams. It is designed for light rain.
- Ensure the canopy is properly tensioned to prevent water pooling.
- For heavy rain, dismantle the shelter as it is not designed for such conditions.
