Setup
Charging the Device
Before first use, fully charge the August SE20. Connect the supplied USB charging cable to the AUX/DC 5V port (2) on the back of the unit and the other end to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. The battery indicator on the LCD display will show charging status.
Initial Power On and Time Setting
Slide the Power Switch (10) to the 'ON' position. The LCD display (11) will light up. To set the time:
- Press and hold the Mode button (9) until the hour digits flash.
- Use the Previous (6) and Next (7) buttons to adjust the hour.
- Press the Mode button (9) again to confirm the hour and move to minutes.
- Use the Previous (6) and Next (7) buttons to adjust the minutes.
- Press the Mode button (9) once more to save the time setting.
Operating Instructions
FM Radio Mode
To enter FM Radio mode, press the Mode button (9) until "FM" appears on the LCD display. Extend the telescopic Antenna (13) for optimal reception.
- Automatic Scan and Save: Press and hold the Pause/Play button (4) to initiate an automatic scan. The radio will search for available stations and save them as presets.
- Manual Tuning: Briefly press the Previous (6) or Next (7) buttons to jump to the next/previous saved preset station.
- Volume Adjustment: Use the Volume Down (5) and Volume Up (8) buttons.

Bluetooth Mode
To connect your device via Bluetooth:
- Press the Mode button (9) until "Bluetooth" or a Bluetooth icon appears on the LCD display. The unit will enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing Bluetooth icon.
- Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone, tablet, or other Bluetooth-enabled device.
- Search for "August SE20" in your device's Bluetooth settings and select it to pair.
- Once paired, the Bluetooth icon on the SE20's display will stop flashing, and you can now stream audio wirelessly.
- Use the Pause/Play (4), Previous (6), and Next (7) buttons on the SE20 to control playback, or control directly from your connected device.
USB / SD Card Playback
The SE20 supports MP3 audio files from USB flash drives and SD cards.
- Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port (3) or an SD card into the SD slot (1).
- The unit should automatically switch to USB or SD mode. If not, press the Mode button (9) until the correct mode is selected.
- Playback will begin automatically. Use the Pause/Play (4), Previous (6), and Next (7) buttons to control playback.
- Note: The unit plays tracks in numerical order based on how they are stored on the media. There is no random or shuffle playback function.
AUX Input Mode
To play audio from an external device (e.g., an MP3 player or computer) using the 3.5mm AUX cable:
- Connect one end of the supplied 3.5mm AUX cable to the AUX/DC 5V port (2) on the SE20.
- Connect the other end to the headphone jack or audio output of your external device.
- Press the Mode button (9) until "AUX" appears on the LCD display.
- Control playback and volume primarily from your external device.
Alarm Clock Function
Set an alarm to wake up to your favorite radio station or a song from a USB/SD card.
- Setting Alarm Time:
- In clock mode, press and hold the Next button (7) until the alarm hour digits flash.
- Use the Previous (6) and Next (7) buttons to adjust the alarm hour.
- Press the Next button (7) again to confirm the hour and move to minutes.
- Use the Previous (6) and Next (7) buttons to adjust the alarm minutes.
- Press the Next button (7) once more to save the alarm time.
- Setting Alarm Source:
- After setting the alarm time, press the Mode button (9) to cycle through alarm sources: FM radio, USB, or SD card. Select your desired source.
- Note: If USB/SD is selected, ensure a compatible media with audio files is inserted.
- Activating/Deactivating Alarm: Briefly press the Next button (7) to toggle the alarm on or off. An alarm icon will appear/disappear on the display.
- Snooze Function: When the alarm sounds, press any button (except Power) to activate snooze. The alarm will sound again after a short interval.
- Stopping Alarm: To turn off the alarm completely, slide the Power Switch (10) to 'OFF' or press and hold the Next button (7) until the alarm icon disappears.
