The Vornado VH200 is designed to provide comfortable warmth through its unique Vortex Action, circulating heat throughout the room. It features multiple heat settings, a mechanical thermostatic temperature control, and important safety features like a cool-touch cabinet, tip-over switch, and overheat protection.

Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the heater from its packaging. Ensure all packing materials are removed.
  2. Placement: Place the heater on a firm, level surface. Ensure there are no obstructions to the air intake or exhaust. For optimal performance, position the heater in an area where its airflow will not be blocked. This heater is designed for indoor use only.
  3. Power Connection: Plug the power cord directly into a standard 120V AC wall outlet. Do not use extension cords or power strips.

Operating Instructions

  1. Power On/Off: Locate the red power switch on the top of the heater. Press the switch to the 'I' position to turn the heater ON, and to the 'O' position to turn it OFF.
  2. Select Heat Setting: The VH200 offers three heat settings. Use the heat setting buttons (indicated by wavy lines) to choose your desired output:
    • One Wavy Line: Low Heat (750W)
    • Two Wavy Lines: Medium Heat (1125W)
    • Three Wavy Lines: High Heat (1500W)
  3. Set Thermostat: Turn the thermostat dial clockwise to increase the desired temperature and counter-clockwise to decrease it. The heater will cycle on and off to maintain the set temperature. Start with a higher setting and then adjust downwards for comfort.
  4. Vortex Action: The Vornado VH200 utilizes Vornado's signature Vortex Action to circulate warm air throughout the entire room, ensuring even heating.

Troubleshooting

If your Vornado heater is not operating as expected, consult the following troubleshooting guide:
