4. Setup and Charging
4.1 Initial Charge
For first-time use, it is recommended to charge the lithium-ion battery for 24-48 hours to ensure optimal battery life and performance. Subsequent charges will typically be shorter.
4.2 Regular Charging
To maintain the battery's health and charge, it is recommended to repeat the charging process every 4 months, even if the spotlight has not been used extensively.
4.3 Charging Procedure
- Locate the USB charging port on the back of the spotlight.
- Connect the provided USB charging cable to the spotlight's port.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to a compatible USB wall adapter (not included) or a powered USB port.
- The charging indicator light will illuminate to show that the device is charging.
- Once fully charged, disconnect the USB cable.

5. Operation
5.1 Powering On/Off and Mode Selection
The STANLEY SL3HS features a pistol-grip handle with a trigger-style switch for easy operation and mode selection. The spotlight offers 5 distinct lighting modes:
- Full Brightness: Maximum light output.
- High Brightness: A strong beam for general illumination.
- Low Brightness: Reduced light output for extended runtime or closer tasks.
- Halo Mode: Utilizes 6 area LED lights for a wider, softer illumination.
- Off: Turns the spotlight off.
To cycle through the modes, press and release the trigger repeatedly. The spotlight will advance to the next mode with each press. To turn off the spotlight, continue pressing the trigger until the "Off" mode is reached, or hold the trigger for a few seconds in any mode to directly turn it off.

6. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your STANLEY SL3HS spotlight.
- Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the spotlight with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the spotlight in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the battery is charged every 4 months during storage.
- Battery Care: Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Recharge as soon as possible after use.
- Water Resistance: This product is not water resistant. Avoid exposure to rain, splashes, or immersion in water.
