4. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps carefully to install your chandelier. It is recommended to have a second person assist during installation due to the size and weight of the fixture.
Step 1: Prepare for Installation
- Turn off power at the main circuit breaker or fuse box.
- Unpack all components and lay them out on a clean, flat surface.
- Review the included installation sheet for any specific model details.
Step 2: Mount the Fixture
- Attach the mounting crossbar to the outlet box using the provided screws. Ensure it is securely fastened.
- Determine the desired hanging height and adjust the suspension rods accordingly. The fixture uses rigid rods for suspension.
- Carefully lift the fixture towards the ceiling, feeding the electrical wires through the center hole of the mounting crossbar.
Step 3: Electrical Connections
- Connect the bare copper ground wire from the fixture to the ground wire from the outlet box using a wire nut.
- Connect the white wire from the fixture to the white (neutral) wire from the outlet box using a wire nut.
- Connect the black wire from the fixture to the black (hot) wire from the outlet box using a wire nut.
- Ensure all wire connections are secure and tucked neatly into the outlet box.
Step 4: Secure the Fixture and Install Shades
- Attach the fixture canopy to the mounting crossbar, securing it with the decorative nuts or screws provided.
- Carefully place the light umber etched glass shades onto the fixture's lamp holders, securing them according to the specific design (typically with threaded rings).
Step 5: Install Light Bulbs
- Insert two (2) medium-base light bulbs (not included) into the sockets. Do not exceed 100 watts per bulb.

5. Operating Instructions
The Progress Lighting P4558-20 chandelier operates via a standard wall switch (not included) connected to the electrical circuit. Simply toggle the wall switch to turn the light fixture on or off.
Note: This fixture is designed for use with a standard AC power source (120 Volts) and does not include an integrated control method like an app or push button as a primary control for the fixture itself, but rather refers to potential external control systems it might be compatible with.
6. Maintenance
Cleaning
- Always disconnect power before cleaning.
- To clean the fixture, wipe with a soft, dry cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, polishes, or solvents as they may damage the finish or glass.
- For glass shades, a mild glass cleaner can be used on a cloth, then wipe dry.
Bulb Replacement
- Ensure power is off and bulbs have cooled before attempting to replace them.
