1. Introduction

The Cuddeback 1279 features a 20-megapixel sensor for high-resolution color images both day and night, an industry-leading 1/4 second trigger speed, and a 50-foot flash range. Its X-Change system allows for interchangeable flash modules (sold separately) to adapt to various lighting conditions and preferences. The camera also includes a video mode and the innovative Genius Mount system for easy deployment.

3. Setup

3.1. Battery Installation

The Cuddeback 1279 requires 8 AA batteries (not included). For best performance, use high-quality alkaline or lithium batteries.

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the side of the camera.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert 8 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3.2. SD Card Installation

The camera supports SD cards up to 32GB (not included).

  1. Locate the SD card slot, typically found near the bottom of the camera.
  2. Insert the SD card into the slot with the label facing the front of the camera until it clicks into place.
  3. To remove, press the card gently until it springs out.

3.3. Mounting the Camera

The Cuddeback 1279 features the Genius Mount system for flexible and secure placement.

  1. Attach the mounting bracket to a tree or post using the provided strap or screws (screws not included).
  2. Slide the camera onto the mounted bracket. This allows for easy removal and reattachment of the camera without disturbing the mount.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Powering On/Off

To power on the camera, locate the power switch, typically labeled 'ON/OFF' or similar, and slide it to the 'ON' position. To power off, slide it to 'OFF'.
