- Placement: Place the grill on a flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is sufficient space around the grill for ventilation.
- Fat Collection Tray: Insert the fat collection tray into its designated slot at the front or side of the grill.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Preheating
- Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. The red power indicator light will illuminate.
- Turn the temperature control dial to your desired setting.
- Close the grill lid and allow the grill to preheat. The green ready indicator light will illuminate when the grill has reached the set temperature.
5.2 Grilling
- Once the green ready light illuminates, carefully open the grill lid using the handle.
- Place your food onto the lower grill plate. You may lightly brush the plates with cooking oil if desired, though the ceramic coating is non-stick.
- Close the lid. The floating hinge design allows the upper grill plate to adapt to the thickness of your food, ensuring even cooking.
- Grill for the recommended time or until your food is cooked to your preference.
- Periodically check the food. Use heat-resistant, non-metallic utensils to avoid damaging the non-stick coating.
- When cooking is complete, carefully remove the food.
- Unplug the appliance from the power outlet and allow it to cool down before cleaning.
5.3 Using as a Table Grill (Open Position)
The GOURMETmaxx 07277 can also be used as an open table grill. To do this, fully open the lid until it lies flat, creating a larger grilling surface. This is ideal for cooking larger quantities or different types of food simultaneously.
6. Cleaning and Maintenance
Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your grill.
- Always unplug the grill and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Grill Plates: The ceramic non-stick coating is easy to clean. Wipe the grill plates with a soft, damp cloth or sponge. For stubborn food residue, dampen a paper towel with a small amount of cooking oil and wipe the plates while they are still slightly warm (but not hot). Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or metal utensils, as these can damage the non-stick surface.
- Fat Collection Tray: Remove the fat collection tray and empty it. Wash it with warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the grill with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Storage: Once clean and dry, store the grill in a cool, dry place. You can store it vertically to save space.
