Installation
The Amerock Edona cabinet knobs are designed for straightforward installation. Each knob comes with the necessary mounting hardware, typically including two screw lengths to accommodate various cabinet and drawer thicknesses.
Required Tools (Not Included):
- Screwdriver (Phillips head recommended)
- Drill with appropriate drill bit (if new holes are needed)
- Measuring tape or ruler
- Pencil
Installation Steps:
- Prepare the Surface: Ensure the cabinet door or drawer front is clean and dry.
- Mark the Hole Location: For new installations, carefully measure and mark the desired location for the knob. For doors, center the knob on the stile and align its base with the edge of the rail. For drawers wider than 18 inches, consider using two knobs, placed approximately one-third of the way in from each side.
- Drill the Hole: Using a drill bit appropriate for the screw size (typically #8-32), carefully drill a pilot hole through the marked location. Ensure the hole is straight and clean.
- Attach the Knob: Insert the chosen screw (1 inch or 1-1/2 inch, depending on cabinet thickness) through the back of the cabinet door or drawer front. Align the knob with the screw and twist it onto the screw until it is snug. Do not overtighten.
- Check Stability: Gently pull the knob to ensure it is securely attached and does not wobble.

Maintenance
To maintain the appearance and longevity of your Amerock Edona cabinet knobs, follow these simple cleaning guidelines:
- Regularly wipe the knobs with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and fingerprints.

Troubleshooting
Loose Knob:
- If a knob becomes loose, gently retighten the screw from the inside of the cabinet door or drawer. Do not overtighten, as this can strip the threads or damage the cabinet material.
Screw Too Short/Long:
- The product includes two common screw lengths (1 inch and 1-1/2 inch). If neither length is suitable for your specific cabinet or drawer thickness, you may need to purchase alternative #8-32 machine screws of the correct length from a hardware store.
