Setup
Unpacking and Placement
Remove all packaging materials, including the foam base and adhesive tape. Before connecting the refrigerator to power, let it stand upright for approximately 2 hours. This allows the refrigerant to settle, reducing the possibility of a malfunction in the cooling system.
- Place the refrigerator on a flat, solid surface strong enough to support it when fully loaded.
- Allow at least 5 inches of space between the back and sides of the refrigerator and any adjacent walls to ensure proper air circulation.
- Avoid placing the refrigerator in direct sunlight or near heat sources like stoves or heaters.
- Ensure the refrigerator is level by adjusting the leveling legs at the bottom.

Electrical Connection
Ensure the electrical outlet is properly grounded. The refrigerator requires a 120 Volt, 60 Hz, 15 Amp circuit. Do not use an extension cord.
Reversible Door Installation
The door on your refrigerator is reversible, allowing it to open from either the left or right side. This feature provides flexibility for placement. Instructions for reversing the door hinge are typically found in a separate diagram or detailed section of the full manual. This process usually involves:
- Unplugging the unit.
- Removing the top hinge cover and screws.
- Lifting the door off the bottom hinge.
- Removing the bottom hinge and transferring it to the opposite side.
- Reattaching the door and top hinge on the new side.

Your refrigerator is equipped with a full-range temperature control knob located inside the unit. To adjust the internal temperature:
- Turn the knob towards "MIN" for warmer temperatures.
- Turn the knob towards "MAX" for colder temperatures.
- The "NORMAL" setting is recommended for general use.
- Turning the knob to "OFF" will stop the cooling cycle.

Maintenance
Cleaning Your Refrigerator
Regular cleaning helps maintain the efficiency and appearance of your refrigerator.
- Exterior: Wipe with a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water. Dry thoroughly.
- Interior: Unplug the unit. Wash the interior surfaces and removable shelves with a solution of baking soda and warm water (2 tablespoons baking soda to 1 quart water). Rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Door Gasket: Clean the door gasket regularly to ensure a proper seal.
- Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or scouring pads, as these can damage surfaces.
Automatic Defrost
This refrigerator features an automatic defrost system, eliminating the need for manual defrosting. Frost buildup on the back wall is normal during the cooling cycle and will melt automatically. The water drains into a tray located above the compressor, where it evaporates.
Troubleshooting
Before contacting service, review this section. It may save you time and expense. This section includes common issues that are not a result of defective materials or workmanship.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Refrigerator does not operate. | Not plugged in; circuit breaker tripped/fuse blown; temperature control set to "OFF". | Ensure plug is secure; reset breaker/replace fuse; set temperature control to desired setting. |
| Temperature inside is too warm. | Temperature control set too low; door opened too frequently/long; warm food placed inside; poor air circulation. | Adjust control to a colder setting; minimize door openings; allow hot food to cool before storing; ensure adequate space around unit. |
| Refrigerator makes too much noise. | Unit not level; loose parts; normal operating sounds. | Adjust leveling legs; check for loose items; gurgling/hissing sounds are normal refrigerant flow. |
| Door does not close properly. | Unit not level; door gasket dirty/damaged; shelves/items obstructing door. | Level the unit; clean/replace gasket; rearrange contents. |
