5. Care and Maintenance

Proper care will ensure the longevity and appearance of your water hyacinth wicker basket.

• Cleaning: Wipe the basket with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and dirt. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the natural fibers.
• Drying: If the basket becomes wet, allow it to air dry completely in a well-ventilated area to prevent mold or mildew growth.
• Sunlight Exposure: Prolonged direct sunlight may cause the natural fibers to fade or become brittle. If used outdoors, place in a shaded area.
• Storage: When not in use, store the basket in a dry, cool place.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1. Basket Losing Shape

The basket is constructed with a metal frame to maintain its shape. If it appears slightly misshapen from shipping or heavy use, gently push and pull the sides to restore its original form. Avoid excessive force.

6.2. Fading or Brittleness of Fibers

Natural fibers can be affected by environmental factors. To prevent fading or brittleness, limit prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and extreme humidity or dryness. Regular dusting can also help maintain the fiber's integrity.
