1. Introduction

This unit combines a CD player, AM/FM radio, and an auxiliary input for connecting external audio devices.

5. Setup

5.1 Powering the Unit

Your boombox can be powered by either the included AC adapter or C-size batteries (not included).

Using the AC Adapter:

1. Insert the small end of the AC adapter into the DC IN jack located on the back of the unit.
2. Plug the other end of the AC adapter into a standard wall outlet (AC 120V ~ 60Hz).

Using Batteries:

1. Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the unit.
2. Insert 6 x "C" size batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: When the AC adapter is connected, battery power is automatically disconnected. Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for an extended period.

5.2 Antenna Setup for Radio

For optimal FM reception, fully extend the telescopic FM antenna. For AM reception, the unit has a built-in ferrite bar antenna, so no external adjustment is needed. Rotate the unit for best AM reception.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 General Controls

• POWER Button: Press to turn the unit ON or OFF.
• VOLUME Knob: Rotate to adjust the sound level.
• FUNCTION Selector: Slide to select between CD, AM, FM, or AUX modes.

6.2 CD Playback

1. Slide the FUNCTION selector to the "CD" position.
2. Open the CD compartment door by gently lifting the "OPEN" tab.
3. Place a CD with the label side facing up onto the center spindle.
4. Close the CD compartment door firmly until it clicks.
5. The CD will begin playing automatically. If not, press the PLAY/PAUSE button.
6. PLAY/PAUSE: Press to pause playback, press again to resume.
7. STOP: Press to stop CD playback.
8. SKIP/SEARCH (◀◀ / ▶▶): Press briefly to skip to the next track or previous track. Press and hold to fast forward or rewind within a track.
9. PROGRAM: Allows you to program up to 20 tracks in a desired order.
   1. In STOP mode, press the PROGRAM button. "P01" will flash on the display.
   2. Use the SKIP/SEARCH buttons to select the desired first track.
   3. Press PROGRAM again to confirm. "P02" will flash.
   4. Repeat steps b and c to program up to 20 tracks.
   5. Press PLAY/PAUSE to start programmed playback.
10. REPEAT: Press once to repeat the current track. Press twice to repeat all tracks on the CD. Press a third time to cancel repeat function.

6.3 AM/FM Radio Operation

1. Slide the FUNCTION selector to the "AM" or "FM" position.
2. Rotate the TUNING knob to select your desired radio station.
3. Adjust the VOLUME knob to your preferred listening level.
4. For FM reception, extend and adjust the telescopic antenna for best signal. For AM reception, rotate the entire unit for optimal signal.

6.4 Auxiliary Input (AUX IN)

The AUX IN jack allows you to connect an external audio device (e.g., smartphone, tablet, MP3 player) to play audio through the boombox speakers.

1. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX IN jack on the boombox.
2. Connect the other end of the audio cable to the headphone jack or audio output jack of your external audio device.
3. Slide the FUNCTION selector to the "AUX" position.
4. Turn on your external audio device and begin playback.
5. Adjust the volume on both your external device and the boombox for optimal sound.
