Setup

1. Charging the Keyboard

Before initial use, fully charge the keyboard using the provided Micro USB cable. Connect the Micro USB end to the keyboard's charging port and the USB-A end to a power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter). The charging indicator light will illuminate during charging and turn off when fully charged.

2. Pairing with Your Device

  1. Ensure the keyboard is charged and powered on. The power switch is located on the side of the keyboard.
  2. Activate Bluetooth on your device (iOS, Android, Mac OS, or Windows).
  3. On the keyboard, press the Fn key simultaneously with the Bluetooth pairing key (usually indicated by a Bluetooth icon or 'Pair' text). The Bluetooth indicator light on the keyboard will begin to flash, indicating it is in pairing mode.
  4. On your device, search for available Bluetooth devices. Select "Anker Bluetooth Keyboard" from the list.
  5. Follow any on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process. A successful connection will be indicated by the Bluetooth light on the keyboard turning solid or off, depending on the model.

Note: The keyboard is only compatible with devices that use Bluetooth 3.0 or higher. It is not compatible with Mac OS X El Capitan.

Operating the Keyboard

Typing and Function Keys

The keyboard features low-profile, matte finish keys designed for smooth and quiet typing. It includes standard alphanumeric keys, as well as a row of function keys (F1-F12) that can be used for multimedia control and other shortcuts when pressed in combination with the Fn key.

Operating System Specific Notes

  • iOS, Android, Mac OS, Windows: The keyboard is broadly compatible with these operating systems.
  • Android 4.4 and 5.0.1 users: The Caps Lock indicator light will NOT illuminate, but the Caps Lock function will still operate normally.
  • Windows: Page Up, Page Down, Home, and End keys may function differently depending on the application.

Power Saving Mode

After 30 minutes of inactivity, the keyboard will automatically enter power-saving mode. To wake it up, simply press any key and wait 2-3 seconds for it to reconnect to your device.

Maintenance

Cleaning

To clean the keyboard, gently wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the finish or keys.

Battery Care

The keyboard features a rechargeable lithium battery with an approximate 6-month life on a single charge (based on 2 hours of non-stop use per day). To prolong battery life, avoid extreme temperatures and store the keyboard in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.

Troubleshooting

  • Keyboard not connecting: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and the keyboard is in pairing mode. Try restarting both the keyboard and your device.
  • Keys not responding: Check the battery level and recharge if necessary. Ensure the keyboard is properly paired and within range of your device.
  • Caps Lock indicator not working on Android: For Android versions 4.4 and 5.0.1, the Caps Lock indicator light will not function, but the Caps Lock feature itself will still work. This is a known system behavior.
  • Incompatibility with Mac OS X El Capitan: This keyboard is not compatible with Mac OS X El Capitan.
