5. Installation Instructions

Follow these steps to install your PROFLO PF5112HE Jerrit Toilet Tank onto a compatible toilet bowl.

1. Prepare the Toilet Bowl: Ensure the toilet bowl is clean and free of any old gaskets or debris. The bolt holes on the bowl should align with the tank's bolt spacing (approximately 5.5 inches center-to-center). The drain hole should be compatible with a 2-inch drain.
2. Install Tank-to-Bowl Gasket: Place the large rubber tank-to-bowl gasket over the flush valve opening on the bottom of the toilet tank. Ensure it is seated firmly and evenly.
3. Position the Tank: Carefully lift the toilet tank and align the bolt holes on the tank with the bolt holes on the toilet bowl. Gently lower the tank onto the bowl, ensuring the gasket creates a seal.
4. Secure the Tank: Insert the tank-to-bowl bolts through the tank and bowl holes. Place washers and nuts onto the bolts from underneath the bowl. Hand-tighten the nuts initially, then use an adjustable wrench to tighten them evenly, alternating between bolts. Do not overtighten, as this can crack the ceramic. The tank should be stable but not excessively rigid.
5. Connect Water Supply: Connect a new water supply line (recommended) from the shut-off valve to the fill valve on the bottom of the tank. Hand-tighten, then use a wrench for a final quarter-turn.
