Safety Instructions
- Always use oven mitts or pot holders when handling hot cookware, especially after use on a stovetop or in an oven.
- Do not leave cookware unattended on a hot stove.
- Ensure handles are securely attached before lifting or moving pots. The riveted stainless steel handles are designed to stay cool during normal stovetop use, but can become hot when used in the oven or over high heat for extended periods.
- The pots are oven-safe up to 250°C without the lid, and up to 180°C with the glass lid. Exceeding these temperatures may damage the lid.
- Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as placing a hot pot under cold water, as this can cause warping or damage.
- Keep children away from the cooking area and hot cookware.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads, as these can scratch the polished surface.
Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all items from the packaging. Inspect each piece for any signs of damage.

Cooking Guidelines
- Heat Distribution: The TransTherm® base ensures optimal and even heat distribution, preventing food from burning and allowing for energy-efficient cooking. Start with medium heat and adjust as needed.
- Glass Lids: The transparent glass lids allow you to monitor the cooking process without lifting the lid, helping to retain heat and moisture. The lids do not have a steam vent, which aids in water-reduced cooking.
- Ergonomic Handles: The riveted stainless steel handles are designed for a secure and comfortable grip. They generally remain cool during stovetop cooking, but caution is advised, especially during prolonged cooking or oven use.
- Pouring Rim: The flared pouring rim on the pots ensures drip-free pouring of liquids.
- Oven Use: The pots are oven-safe up to 250°C. When using with the glass lids, the maximum oven temperature is 180°C.

Maintenance and Care
- Cleaning: The WMF Brilliant cookware is dishwasher-safe. For hand washing, use warm soapy water and a soft sponge or cloth. Avoid steel wool or abrasive cleaners that can scratch the polished surface.
- Stubborn Food Residue: For burnt-on food, soak the pot in warm soapy water for a period before cleaning. A paste of baking soda and water can also be used for gentle scrubbing.
- Water Spots: To prevent water spots, dry the cookware immediately after washing. If spots appear, they can often be removed with a cloth dampened with vinegar or lemon juice.
- Storage: Store pots and pans carefully to avoid scratching. Placing a cloth or paper towel between stacked items can help protect the surfaces.
Troubleshooting
- Food Sticking: Ensure you are using adequate cooking fat or liquid. Overheating an empty pot can also cause food to stick. Reduce heat and allow the pot to cool slightly before adding food.
- Discoloration: High heat or certain minerals in water can sometimes cause slight discoloration (rainbow effect) on stainless steel. This is harmless and can often be removed with a stainless steel cleaner or a solution of vinegar and water.
- Handles Getting Hot: While designed to stay cool on the stovetop, handles can heat up, especially during prolonged cooking, high heat settings, or oven use. Always use oven mitts if handles feel warm.
