  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and accessories from the box.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the inner pot, inner lid, measuring cup, and rice spatula with mild dish soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the exterior of the main body with a damp cloth.
  3. Placement: Place the rice cooker on a flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for ventilation, especially around the steam vent. Avoid placing it near walls or under cabinets where steam could cause damage.
  4. Power Connection: Insert the power cord firmly into the power inlet on the rice cooker, then plug the other end into a standard 100V electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Basic Rice Cooking (White Rice)

  1. Measure Rice: Use the provided measuring cup to measure the desired amount of rice. One cup is approximately 180ml.
  2. Wash Rice: Rinse the rice thoroughly until the water runs clear.
  3. Add Water: Place the washed rice into the inner pot. Add water up to the corresponding water level mark inside the inner pot for the amount of rice you are cooking. For example, for 3 cups of rice, fill to the '3' mark.
  4. Place Inner Pot: Wipe the exterior of the inner pot dry and place it securely into the main body of the rice cooker.
  5. Close Lid: Close the outer lid firmly until it clicks into place.
  6. Select Mode: Press the Menu button to select the desired cooking mode, typically "White Rice" (白米).
  7. Start Cooking: Press the Cook Rice (炊飯) button to begin cooking. The cooking indicator will light up.
  8. Completion: Once cooking is complete, the rice cooker will beep and automatically switch to "Keep Warm" mode. Fluff the rice with the spatula and serve.

5.2. Eco Cooking

The Eco Cooking mode is designed to cook rice with reduced power consumption while maintaining good taste. Follow steps 1-5 from Basic Rice Cooking, then:

  1. Select Mode: Press the Menu button until "Eco Cooking" (エコ炊き) is selected.
  2. Start Cooking: Press the Cook Rice (炊飯) button.

5.3. Timer Cooking (Reservation)

Use the Timer Cooking function to set a specific time for your rice to be ready. Follow steps 1-5 from Basic Rice Cooking, then:

  1. Select Mode: Press the Menu button to select your desired cooking mode (e.g., White Rice).
  2. Set Timer: Press the Reservation (予約) button. Use the Hour (時) and Minute (分) buttons to adjust the desired completion time.
  3. Confirm: Press the Reservation (予約) button again to confirm. The timer indicator will light up.

Regular cleaning ensures hygiene and extends the life of your rice cooker. Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
