5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Turning the Camera On/Off

Locate the power button or switch, usually near the shutter button. Press or slide it to turn the camera on or off.

5.2. Using the Zoom Lens

Use the zoom buttons (often marked 'W' for Wide and 'T' for Telephoto) to adjust the focal length of the lens. Press 'W' to zoom out (wider view) and 'T' to zoom in (closer view).

5.3. Focusing and Taking a Picture

  1. Look through the viewfinder and frame your subject.
  2. Gently press the shutter button halfway down. The camera's Multi Beam Auto Focusing system will activate and focus on your subject. A focus indicator light (usually green) will illuminate in the viewfinder when focus is achieved.
  3. Press the shutter button fully down to take the picture. The film will automatically advance to the next frame.

5.4. Using the Flash and Red-Eye Reduction

The camera features an automatic flash. In low light conditions, the flash will fire automatically. To activate Red-Eye Reduction, typically there is a dedicated button or a setting in the mode dial. When enabled, the camera will emit a series of pre-flashes before the main flash to reduce red-eye.

5.5. Setting the Date/Time (Date Imprint Function)

If your camera has a date imprint function, locate the 'DATE' button or mode. Use the adjustment buttons (often marked with arrows) to set the current year, month, day, and time. Once set, you can choose to imprint this information directly onto your photos.

5.6. Self-Timer Mode

To use the self-timer, press the self-timer button (often indicated by a clock icon). Frame your shot, then press the shutter button. The self-timer lamp will blink, and the shutter will release after approximately 10 seconds, allowing you to be in the picture.

5.7. Unloading Film

Once all frames on the film roll have been exposed, the camera will automatically rewind the film back into the cartridge. The frame counter will reset. Open the camera back cover and remove the film cartridge.

  • Cleaning the Lens: Use a soft, lint-free cloth or a lens brush to gently remove dust and smudges from the lens surface. Avoid touching the lens with your fingers.
