Setup

Connecting the Telephone:

  1. Connect the Coil Cord: Insert one end of the coil cord into the handset jack on the side of the base unit and the other end into the handset.
  2. Connect the Main Line Cord: Insert one end of the main line cord into the LINE jack on the back of the base unit.
  3. Connect to Wall Jack: Insert the other end of the main line cord into your telephone wall jack.
  4. Power Source: The phone is powered by the telephone line. No external power adapter is required.
  5. Battery Installation (for display/memory): The device requires 2 AAA batteries for the display and memory functions. Open the battery compartment on the underside of the base unit, insert 2 AAA batteries observing polarity (+/-), and close the compartment.

Initial Settings:

  • Set Date and Time: Press the SET button. Use the UP and DOWN arrow buttons to adjust the year, month, day, hour, and minute. Press SET again to confirm each setting.
  • Ringer Volume: Locate the ringer volume switch on the side or back of the base unit. Adjust it to your preferred level (High/Low).
  • Tone/Pulse Dialing: If your telephone line requires pulse dialing, locate the Tone/Pulse switch on the base unit and set it accordingly. For most modern lines, 'Tone' is the correct setting.

Operating Instructions

Making a Call:

  1. Lift the handset.
  2. Dial the desired phone number using the numeric keypad.
  3. Wait for the call to connect.
  4. To end the call, place the handset back on the base unit.

Receiving a Call:

  1. When the phone rings, lift the handset.
  2. To end the call, place the handset back on the base unit.

Using Redial:

To redial the last number called:

  1. Lift the handset.
  2. Press the RD (Redial) button. The phone will automatically dial the last outgoing number.

Using Mute:

The mute function allows you to speak privately without the other party hearing you.

  1. During a call, press the MUTE button. The other party will not hear your voice.
  2. To resume the conversation, press the MUTE button again.

Caller ID and Memory Functions:

  • Incoming Call Memory: The phone stores up to 30 incoming call numbers. Use the UP and DOWN arrow buttons to scroll through the list of incoming calls.
  • Outgoing Call Memory: The phone stores up to 5 outgoing call numbers. Press the OUT button to view outgoing calls. Use the UP and DOWN arrow buttons to scroll.
  • Deleting Entries: To delete an entry from the call memory, navigate to the desired entry and press the DEL button.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Clean the phone's surface with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the phone in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Replacement: If the display becomes dim or memory functions are erratic, replace the 2 AAA batteries.

Troubleshooting
