3. Package Contents

Verify that all components are present and undamaged before proceeding with installation. If any parts are missing or damaged, contact your retailer.

4. Installation Instructions

Installation should be performed by a qualified professional if you are unsure about electrical wiring. Always ensure the power supply is disconnected before starting.

4.1. Preparation

1. Turn off Power: Locate the main circuit breaker or fuse box and switch off the power supply to the circuit where you intend to install the light. Verify that the power is off using a voltage tester.
2. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and lay them out on a clean, flat surface.

4.2. Mounting the Ceiling Rose

1. Mark Drilling Points: Hold the ceiling rose base against the ceiling at the desired installation point. Mark the positions for the mounting screws.
2. Drill Holes: Drill holes at the marked positions. Insert appropriate wall plugs if necessary (for plasterboard or concrete ceilings).
3. Secure Base: Attach the ceiling rose base to the ceiling using the provided screws. Ensure it is firmly secured.

4.3. Wiring Connections

1. Connect Wires: Connect the household electrical wires to the terminal block inside the ceiling rose. Typically, this involves connecting Live (L), Neutral (N), and Earth (E) wires. Match the colors according to local electrical codes (e.g., Brown/Red to L, Blue/Black to N, Green/Yellow to E).
2. Secure Connections: Ensure all wire connections are tight and secure.

4.4. Attaching the Lamp Shade

1. Adjust Cable Length: Adjust the cable length to your desired height. Secure the cable within the ceiling rose mechanism.
2. Attach Shade: Carefully attach the fabric lamp shade to the lamp holder assembly. Ensure it is securely fastened.

4.5. Installing the Bulb

1. Insert Bulb: Screw an E27 bulb (max 60W) into the lamp holder. Do not overtighten.

5. Operation

Once installed, the Eglo MASERLO Pendant Light operates via your standard wall switch. The control method is a push button, referring to the wall switch controlling the circuit.

• Turning On/Off: Flip the wall switch connected to the light fixture to turn it on or off.
• Dimming Function: If you have installed a dimmable E27 bulb and your electrical circuit includes a compatible dimmer switch, you can adjust the light intensity accordingly.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your pendant light.

• Cleaning: Always disconnect power before cleaning. Wipe the metal parts with a soft, dry cloth. For the fabric shade, use a soft, slightly damp cloth or a lint roller to remove dust. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Bulb Replacement: Ensure the power is off and the bulb has cooled down before attempting to replace it. Unscrew the old E27 bulb and screw in a new one (max 60W).
