- Then, press the 'Delay Timer' button and use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the desired delay time (up to 15 hours).

Maintenance and Cleaning
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Aroma Digital Rice Cooker.
- Unplug: Always unplug the rice cooker from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Inner Pot & Accessories: The inner cooking pot, steam tray, measuring cup, and rice paddle are dishwasher safe. Alternatively, wash them by hand with warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the rice cooker with a clean, damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
- Lid: The inner lid can be removed for cleaning. Follow the instructions in your full manual for proper removal and reattachment.
- Avoid Abrasives: Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or steel wool, as these can damage the non-stick coating and exterior finish.
Troubleshooting
- Rice is too dry or too wet: The water-to-rice ratio may need adjustment. For drier rice, add slightly less water next time. For wetter rice, add slightly more. Ensure rice is rinsed properly.
- Rice sticks to the bottom: Ensure the inner pot's non-stick coating is intact. Adding a small amount of cooking oil or butter to the inner pot before adding rice and water can help prevent sticking.
- Water overflows during cooking: This usually indicates too much water or rice for the capacity. Do not exceed the maximum fill lines marked on the inner pot. Ensure the lid is properly sealed.
- Cooker does not turn on: Check that the power cord is securely plugged into both the cooker and a functioning electrical outlet.
- Food not cooking evenly: Ensure ingredients are spread evenly in the inner pot or steam tray. For slow cooking, stir occasionally if safe to do so.
