1. Product Overview

The Isotronic Ultrasonic Outdoor Animal Repeller Model 60035 is designed to deter various animals such as martens, cats, and foxes from your garden or outdoor areas. It operates by emitting high-frequency ultrasonic sounds that are irritating to these animals but generally inaudible to humans. The device features a motion sensor that triggers the ultrasonic emission in 5-second intervals upon detecting movement.

This repeller is built for outdoor use with an IP44 waterproof rating, ensuring durability against splashes and light rain. It offers flexible installation options, including a wall mount and a ground stake. The unit is powered by 4 AA batteries (not included).

  2. Choose Placement Method:
    • Ground Stake Installation: Assemble the ground stake sections to achieve the desired height. Attach the repeller unit to the top of the stake. Firmly push the stake into the ground in the area you wish to protect. Ensure the motion sensor has a clear line of sight.
    • Wall Mount Installation: Use the provided wall mounting bracket. Mark the desired position on a wall or fence. Drill pilot holes, insert wall plugs (if necessary), and secure the bracket with the screws. Attach the repeller unit to the mounted bracket.
  3. Positioning: Place the repeller in an area where animals are frequently observed. Ensure the motion sensor is facing the direction from which animals approach. For optimal performance, position the device so that the ultrasonic sound is not obstructed by dense foliage or objects.

5. Operating Instructions

The Isotronic Ultrasonic Outdoor Animal Repeller operates automatically once batteries are installed and the unit is positioned.

  • Activation: After battery installation, the device will enter standby mode.
  • Motion Detection: The integrated motion sensor detects movement within its range.
  • Ultrasonic Emission: Upon detecting motion, the repeller emits high-frequency ultrasonic sounds for approximately 5 seconds. This interval helps prevent animals from becoming accustomed to the sound.
  • Effectiveness: The ultrasonic sounds are designed to be unpleasant for animals like martens, cats, and foxes, encouraging them to leave the protected area. Results may vary depending on the animal and environmental factors.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt or debris. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the motion sensor lens is clean for optimal detection.
  • Battery Replacement: When the device's performance diminishes or it stops emitting sounds, replace the 4 AA batteries. Always replace all batteries at once with new ones.
  • Seasonal Storage: If storing the device for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and damage. Store in a cool, dry place.
