Maintenance
Dentemp is a temporary repair solution. It is crucial to visit a dentist as soon as possible for a permanent repair. While Dentemp is designed to be durable for temporary use, avoid excessive chewing on the repaired tooth and maintain good oral hygiene to prolong its effectiveness until professional dental care is received.
Troubleshooting
- Material too soft/crumbly: Ensure the container is tightly closed and stored at room temperature to prevent the material from drying out or becoming too hard. If the material is too soft, it may be due to moisture; try to work with drier fingers. If too crumbly, ensure fingers are wet enough to form a ball.
- Repair not holding: Ensure the tooth cavity or crown is clean and moist before application. Press firmly and bite down several times to ensure proper adhesion. Avoid lifting your finger straight up after pressing the material into a cavity. Allow the full two hours for setting before eating.
- Discomfort persists: If pain or swelling continues or worsens, discontinue use and consult a dentist immediately. This product is for temporary relief only.
- Allergic reaction: Discontinue use immediately if you experience any signs of an allergic reaction to Eugenol or other ingredients.
