Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Harman Kardon Adapt:

1. Power Connection: Connect the USB power supply to the Adapt and plug it into a power outlet.

Operating

The Harman Kardon Adapt offers various ways to enjoy your audio:

• App Control: Use the Harman Kardon Controller app on your smartphone or tablet to select music sources, control playback, adjust volume, and manage multi-room audio configurations. You can stream music from various services or your device's local library.
• Multi-Room Audio: With multiple Adapt units or compatible Harman Kardon Omni speakers, you can stream different music to different rooms or play the same song throughout your entire home in 'Party Mode'.
• One-Touch Follow Me Audio: If you have multiple devices, a single button press can transfer the currently playing music from one room to another as you move.
• Link Button Speaker Control: The physical link button on the Adapt allows for quick control. A short press cycles through different music streams if multiple are playing. A long press activates 'Party Mode', synchronizing all connected speakers to play the same music.
• Bluetooth Streaming: Connect your device via Bluetooth to the Adapt. The Adapt can then re-stream this Bluetooth audio to other connected Harman Kardon Omni speakers in your home via Wi-Fi.
• Aux-in Re-streaming: Connect an external audio source (e.g., TV, CD player, iPod) to the 3.5mm mini-jack 'Audio In' port. The Adapt will automatically convert this signal to Wi-Fi and stream it to other speakers in your home, providing a flexible whole-home audio experience.
• Multi-Channel Surround Sound: Pair two Harman Kardon Adapt units or other compatible Omni speakers to create a stereo or multi-channel surround sound system within a single room for an immersive audio experience.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Harman Kardon Adapt, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the Adapt. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents, as they may damage the finish.
