Maintenance

Water Resistance

Your Casio A500WA-7 watch is water resistant up to 3 ATM (30 meters). This means it is suitable for everyday use and can withstand splashes or brief immersion in water. It is not suitable for swimming, diving, or showering with hot water, as steam can penetrate the seals.

  • Avoid operating buttons while the watch is wet.
  • If the watch is exposed to saltwater, rinse it thoroughly with fresh water and wipe it dry.

Cleaning

Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture. For the stainless steel band, a soft brush and mild soapy water can be used, followed by thorough rinsing and drying.

Battery Replacement

The watch uses one Lithium Metal battery. When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, it is time to replace the battery. Battery replacement should ideally be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and water resistance.

Troubleshooting

ProblemSolution
Display is blank or dim.The battery may be low or depleted. Replace the battery.
Time is incorrect.Re-adjust the time and date settings as described in the "Initial Setup" section. Check DST settings for your current time zone.
Alarm does not sound.Ensure the alarm is set to ON in Alarm Mode. Check the alarm volume if adjustable (this model typically has a fixed alarm sound).
