4. Using Control Buttons
- HOLD: Freezes the current reading on the display. Press again to release.
- REC: Activates data recording mode.
- MAX/MIN: Displays the maximum or minimum recorded turbidity value.
- ZERO: Used to zero the meter, typically with a 0 NTU standard solution, to ensure baseline accuracy.
- TEST/CAL: Initiates a measurement or enters calibration mode, depending on the current meter state.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Meter and Test Bottles
- Meter Exterior: Wipe the meter's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Test Bottles: After each use, rinse test bottles thoroughly with distilled water (cleaning solution provided) and dry them with the cleaning cloth. Ensure no residue remains, as this can affect future readings.
2. Storage
When not in use, store the Extech TB400 meter and its accessories in the provided hard carrying case. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
