Maintenance
Battery Replacement:
When the light appears dim or begins to activate unnecessarily, it is an indication that the batteries need to be replaced. Follow the battery installation steps in the "Setup and Installation" section to replace the 3 C-cell batteries.
Cleaning:
Wipe the exterior of the spotlight with a soft, damp cloth as needed. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
Troubleshooting
- Light is dim or flickers: This typically indicates low battery power. Replace the 3 C-cell batteries.
- Light does not turn on:
- Ensure it is dark enough for the photocell to activate.
- Check battery installation and replace if necessary.
- Verify the motion sensor is not obstructed and is within range of detection.
- Light stays on constantly: This could indicate a faulty motion sensor or an issue with the photocell. Ensure there is no continuous motion in the detection area and that the light is not exposed to constant ambient light that might prevent the photocell from registering darkness.
