Operating Principles

The Statico SD vessel contains a flexible diaphragm that separates the system water from a nitrogen gas cushion. As system water temperature increases, its volume expands, pushing against the diaphragm and compressing the gas cushion. When the temperature decreases, the gas cushion expands, pushing water back into the system, thus maintaining stable pressure.

  • Annual Pre-charge Check: At least once a year, check the pre-charge pressure of the vessel. Depressurize the system before checking. If the pressure is too low, re-inflate to the required level.
