1. Product Overview

The MACTREM 84" Camera Tripod (Model BT80) is a versatile and robust photography accessory designed for various shooting conditions. 2. Package Contents

Before setup, ensure all components are present:

  • MACTREM 84" Camera Tripod (Model BT80)
  • Quick-release plate (1/4" screw)
  • Phone mount adapter
  • Carry bag
  • Short center-column (for macro photography)
  • Allen wrenches (for tightening screws)

3. Setup Instructions

3.1 Unfolding the Tripod

  1. Remove the tripod from its carry bag.
  2. Gently spread the three legs outwards until they lock into position. The leg angle can be adjusted by pressing the angle adjustment system on each leg.
  3. Extend the tripod legs by releasing the quick-release flip-locks on each section. Adjust to desired height and secure the flip-locks.
  4. Extend the central column by rotating the knob system and pulling it upwards. Secure the knob once the desired height is reached.

3.2 Attaching Your Camera/Device

  1. Ensure the quick-release plate is securely attached to your camera's 1/4" screw mount.
  2. Align the quick-release plate with the receiver on the tripod's ball head and slide it in until it clicks into place. Secure any locking mechanisms on the ball head.
  3. For smartphones, attach the phone mount adapter to the quick-release plate, then secure your phone within the adapter.

4. Operating the Tripod

4.1 Adjusting the Ball Head

  • The 360° swivel ball head allows for precise camera positioning. Loosen the main locking knob to adjust the camera angle freely.
  • Use the smaller knobs to control pan and tilt movements independently.
  • The integrated bubble level helps ensure your camera is perfectly horizontal.

4.2 Monopod Conversion

  1. Identify the tripod leg with the foam grip. This leg can be detached.
  2. Unscrew this leg from the tripod body.
  3. Detach the ball head from the main tripod body and attach it to the top of the detached leg.
  4. The monopod can be extended from 34" to 80" for versatile shooting.

4.3 Macro Photography

For low-angle or macro photography, the central column can be inverted:

  1. Remove the central column from the tripod.
  2. Invert the central column and reinsert it into the tripod body.
  3. Attach your camera to the inverted column for close-up shots.

5. Maintenance

  • Regularly check all screws and locking mechanisms for tightness. Use the provided Allen wrenches if adjustments are needed.
  • Clean the tripod with a soft, dry cloth after each use, especially if used in dusty or sandy environments.
  • Avoid exposing the tripod to extreme temperatures or corrosive substances.
  • Store the tripod in its carry bag when not in use to protect it from dust and damage.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Legs not extending/retracting smoothly: Check for debris in the leg sections or ensure flip-locks are fully disengaged. Clean if necessary.
  • Camera wobbles on ball head: Ensure the quick-release plate is tightly secured to the camera and the ball head locking knobs are fully tightened.
  • Tripod instability: Ensure all legs are fully extended and locked, and the leg angles are set appropriately for the terrain. Utilize the stability hook for added weight if needed.
