Figure 5.2: Close-up view of the terminal blocks on the BEMKO A30-BM030-L electric meter, showing connections for phases and neutral.
- Connect the incoming Phase 1 (L1) to terminal 1.
- Connect the outgoing Phase 1 (L1) to terminal 2.
- Connect the incoming Phase 2 (L2) to terminal 3.
- Connect the outgoing Phase 2 (L2) to terminal 4.
- Connect the incoming Phase 3 (L3) to terminal 5.
- Connect the outgoing Phase 3 (L3) to terminal 6.
- Connect the incoming Neutral (N) to terminal 7.
- Connect the outgoing Neutral (N) to terminal 8.
- Ensure all connections are tight and secure to prevent loose contacts and overheating.
- After wiring, double-check all connections against the diagram before restoring power.
6. Operating Instructions
Once properly installed and powered, the BEMKO A30-BM030-L electric meter will automatically begin measuring energy consumption.

Figure 6.1: Close-up of the BEMKO A30-BM030-L LCD display, showing the 6+2 digit energy reading in kWh.
6.1 Reading the Display
- The LCD displays the total active energy consumed in kilowatt-hours (kWh).
- The display format is 6+2 digits, meaning six digits for whole kWh and two digits for decimal kWh (e.g., 000000.01 kWh).
6.2 Pulse Output
- The meter features an LED indicator that flashes at a rate of 1000 pulses per kWh (1000 imp/kWh). This provides a visual indication of energy consumption.
- The pulse output is inactive, meaning it is for visual indication only and not for external connection to other systems.
