4. Setup

4.1. Installing the Saw Blade

  1. Ensure the jigsaw is unplugged from the power source.
  2. Locate the hex lock/Allen key for the blade clamp.
  3. Loosen the screw on the blade clamp using the Allen key.
  4. Insert the saw blade into the blade clamp with the teeth facing forward.
  5. Ensure the back of the blade fits into the guide roller.
  6. Tighten the screw firmly to secure the blade. Do not overtighten.

4.2. Adjusting the Base Plate for Miter Cuts

The base plate can be angled up to 45° for miter cuts.

  1. Unplug the jigsaw.
  2. Loosen the screws that secure the base plate to the main body of the jigsaw.
  3. Tilt the base plate to the desired angle (up to 45° left or right). Use a protractor for accuracy if needed.
  4. Tighten the base plate screws securely.
