Product Overview
The Orbit 2-Outlet Hose Faucet Timer transforms a standard hose faucet into a programmed watering system. This device automates irrigation, preventing both under-watering and over-watering. It features simple installation and programming, requiring no specialized tools. Users can set start times, watering durations, and frequencies. The timer is designed to retain programmed settings even when batteries are changed. It includes a large, easy-to-read dial and LCD screen for user-friendly operation. A manual button provides immediate faucet use without disrupting the set program. A built-in rain delay function allows pausing the schedule for 24, 48, or 72 hours, contributing to water conservation. Constructed from high-quality, water-resistant materials, this timer is built for dependable long-term use.

Setup
- Battery Installation:
The timer requires two AA batteries (sold separately). Locate the battery compartment, typically on the back or side of the unit. Insert the batteries, ensuring correct polarity. The timer is designed to retain programming during battery changes.
- Attaching to Faucet:
The timer features an improved brass swivel connector for a durable seal. Screw the timer onto a standard U.S. Garden Hose faucet. Ensure the connection is hand-tight to prevent leaks. Do not overtighten.

- Connecting Hoses: Attach your garden hoses or irrigation lines to the two automatic timed outlets at the bottom of the timer. Ensure these connections are also hand-tight.
- Turning on Water Supply: Slowly turn on the water supply at the faucet. Check for any leaks at the connections.
Operating Instructions
The Orbit 2-Outlet Timer features a large dial and an LCD screen for easy programming. The dial has several positions for setting up your watering schedule.
- Setting the Clock:
Turn the dial to "SET CLOCK". Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the current time. Press the "STATION" button to switch between outlets (Station 1 or Station 2) if needed, though clock setting is universal.
- Setting Start Time:
Turn the dial to "START TIME". Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the desired start time for watering. Use the "STATION" button to select which outlet (Station 1 or Station 2) you are setting the start time for.
- Setting Watering Duration ("HOW LONG"):
Turn the dial to "HOW LONG". Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the duration of watering (in minutes or hours). Again, use the "STATION" button to select the specific outlet for which you are setting the duration.
- Setting Watering Frequency ("HOW OFTEN"):
Turn the dial to "HOW OFTEN". Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set how frequently the timer will water (e.g., every 6 hours, every 12 hours, every day, every 2 days). This setting applies to both stations.
- Activating Automatic Mode:
Once all settings are configured, turn the dial to "AUTO". The timer will now operate according to your programmed schedule.
- Manual Operation:
To manually water without interrupting the program, press the "MANUAL/CLEAR" button. Use the "STATION" button to select the desired outlet (Station 1 or Station 2). Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the manual watering duration. The water will begin flowing immediately for the set duration and then stop, returning to the automatic program.
- Rain Delay Feature:
To activate the rain delay, turn the dial to "AUTO" and then press and hold the "AUTO" button (often labeled "FOR RAIN DELAY PRESS +"). Use the '+' button to select a delay of 24, 48, or 72 hours. The timer will pause its schedule for the selected period and then resume automatically.
- Turning Off:
To turn off all watering, turn the dial to "OFF". This will stop any active watering and prevent scheduled watering from occurring.
Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the LCD screen. The timer retains its program during battery changes.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the timer with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water.
- Winterization: To prevent damage from freezing temperatures, disconnect the timer from the faucet and hoses before the first frost. Remove the batteries. Store the timer in a dry, protected area where temperatures remain above 32°F (0°C).

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Timer does not turn on/LCD is blank. | Dead or incorrectly installed batteries. | Replace batteries with new AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. |
| Water does not flow. | Faucet is off; timer is in "OFF" mode; incorrect programming; low water pressure. | Ensure faucet is fully open. Turn dial to "AUTO". Verify start times, durations, and frequencies. Check water pressure at the faucet. |
| Timer is leaking. | Loose connections; damaged O-ring/washer; cracked housing due to freezing. | Tighten all connections. Check and replace O-rings/washers if damaged. If housing is cracked, the unit may need replacement. Ensure proper winterization. |
| Program not running as expected. | Incorrect settings; rain delay active. | Review all programming steps (SET CLOCK, START TIME, HOW LONG, HOW OFTEN). Check if rain delay is active and clear it if necessary. |
